Get your groove back

This is all about finding engagement in your life, making sure that each and every day you’ve done something FUN.

Remember those hobbies you had as a child?  Do them (or find new ones and do them instead).

It doesn’t need to be productive, it just needs to feel good and make you forget yourself for a moment.

For me, this all revolves around dance, sunshine, being outside, being silly, drawing, sewing, reading a book, cooking, or sometimes just sitting still with my eyes closed breathing.

I kid you not that by swapping some scrolling time for reading time (or audiobook listening time), playing music and dancing while getting ready in the morning instead of listening to Radio 4 (guilty as charged) and starting the day in Serious Mode, or carving out time at the weekend to do something that you love will have you feeling more positive in no time.

These are the easiest things to stop doing when life is moving fast, we have others to care for, and are generally overloaded, but once we start doing them, even just a little bit, then everything improves. It takes effort, but it’s sooooooo worth it.
